Unable to post regularly

During school vacation it is difficult finding the time to post on my blog. There are probably many mothers out there who can relate. In my case it's probably a good thing to take  breaks because God knows (and I admit) that I am fully capable of spending hours on the computer. Instead of attempting to post regularly, I am trying to wait until my time is freed up a bit. This is also the reason I haven't been visiting other sites as often lately. I do try to pop on now and then to catch up, though!

If I'm being totally honest - God even uses my blog  as part of my purification process. It may sound silly but it's true. Rather than getting upset at my inability to post I am offering it up instead and giving in gracefully. Well...somewhat gracefully :)

  1. I think most of us bloggers have slowed down during the summer. It also has been so very hot this summer.
Mary I am like you, once I turn the computer on I can loose hours out of my day so I completely understand......enjoy your time with your daughter, there will be lots of time to come back to blogging on a regular basis.
    ......:-) Hugs

  2. God and your family must come before blogging, and if you do it whenever you can, that's good. You have a good attitude about it!

  3. Mary,

I understand all too well. Soon it will be September and I will be back in the thick of it. I will be taking a class on "Canon law"....
It will certainly cut into my "blog time."

    God bless!

  5. I love this...it's so clear that you have invited God to lead you in ALL aspects of your life Mary...and I love it when I read that someone incorporates their blogging into their spirituality. That's when it can truly become a blessing! Enjoy your respite!

  6. I love this post - and so understand where you are coming from. I feel guilty for not posting but feel guilty when my kids tug at my arms when I am typing. God Bless you and thanks for the inspiration!

  7. I know I am not posting as frequently as I could . . . 'cos I'm schooling the 7th grader, shuttling the high schoolers, cleaning a house, chasing the dog, answering the phone, and reading/crafting/running about, and, on FB too much. But, when something fun happens or I need to "vent" or ask for prayers, I turn to my blog, 'cos I know y'all lovely women/men will pray! God bless and keep you and bless your efforts!

  11. Tima,
It can be difficult for those who can only blog in their spare time. I don't like to neglect my blogs but neglecting my family would be far worse! I tend to have a bit more free time in the fall and hope to catch up.

  13. Mom,
With 4 little ones it must be very hard to find any time! You would think that I would have more time with just one child but I often have other children here, too. I hope you have a great end of summer and fall, also!
