Many Local Authorities insist that you pick up dog poop from the street (sidewailk) or parks. There are special bins in which to put the poop - i.e. separate from other trash bins in the street. Some say there are not enough such bins. So they have to carry the poop back home. If you do not pick up the poop, and you are seen by a dog warden or member of the public, you will get fined. Fines vary between Local Authorities.
Some towns have contracted private firms as wardens. They also check on general litter as well as dog poop. In a town someone was fined £80 for dropping a cigarette end after finishing smoking.
So yes ... we have poop laws. It's a question of education and enforcement. I must say down our street I've often seen people bending down and picking up poop. So education and good manners seem to work.
Hi Colleen, Michaela and I watch Mishka videos at least twice a week. And of course my daughter wants a husky now ;) Actually, I like huskies too but we can't have another dog right now!
Hi Victor, Thanks, I was curious. We have them here too and a person gets a fine if they don't pick up after their pet. Which is good because stepping in that stuff is miserable!
