Prayer request

Once again I am requesting prayers from my blogging friends. My father is not doing very well. Since getting home from the hospital he has had one infection after another. He also has diabetic neuropathy which is affecting his entire body. He has lost 15 pounds in the past few weeks and is very discouraged and depressed. He was deeply touched by all the people who prayed for him a few weeks ago and asked if you could pray for him again. I think he's worried that he is dying.

Could you also pray for a family friend (Kevin) who is in critical condition in the hospital? He sustained internal injuries after a motorcycle accident and may not make it.

Thank you so much! I truly believe in the power of prayer. Though the results might not always be what we want, God always answers them in whatever way is best for those we are interceding for.

I deeply appreciate your prayers and so does my dad! Kevin is in a medically induced coma and was operated on (again) today. I hope to hear more about his condition tomorrow.

  7. Wow! I can't imagine going through a motorcycle accident and then surgeries. It sounds so painful! How old is your dad, Mary? He's blessed to have you nearby. Of course I will be praying for you and for those you care about who are suffering right now.

  8. Bear, Bernie, Victor, and Anne,
Thank you so much for your prayers. I just got back from visiting my father and it lifted his spirits to know that people were praying for him! He sends his thanks to all of you and told me to make sure I tell you all how much he appreciates it. He was a bit improved today and even ate a decent supper last night (we were concerned at how little he was eating). Anne, he is 74 but has a lot of medical issues. I haven't got an update about Kevin yet but hope to hear more this afternoon. He has two children so I hope he pulls through.

  11. Just read this Mary! I will definately be praying for both Kevin and your dad during the night and this evening. I will pray especially for your dad to know the peace that only Christ can give, that is not of the world.

  12. JBR, Shadowlands, Colleen, and Sarah,
You have no idea how thankful I am for all your prayers! Please know that I keep you in mine, too.
My dad is a little bit better but Kevin is not doing very well. I hope he pulls through but he has internal injuries and many broken bones. All things are possible with God, though!
