A Wonderful Post

Barb at Suffering with Joy recently wrote a post called Divine Simplicity and Truth and I highly recommend it to all who haven't read it yet.  The meditations come from Fr. Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen's book - Divine Intimacy: Meditations on the Interior Life for Every Day of the Liturgical Year. Barb shares her thoughts on duplicity of the heart and mind and how important divine simplicity is in our relationship with God and others. Her post wasn't just good...it was excellent. Thank you, Barb.

  2. God bless you, Mary. Thanks for linking to this post. I have a friend who lived over twenty years with a duplicitous husband - close to being a pathological liar - and it almost did her in. When I read the Divine Intimacy meditation, the truth leapt off the page and I saw how all lying of whatever degree, all duplicity separates us from God when we are supposed to be like Him instead. Then I prayed and wrote.

We live in an age of lies, suffocating lies, killing lies. Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in them, which is why I can't watch news on TV and don't mess with it much otherwise either. I pray that my post will help others on their journey.

  6. Hi Barb,
It will help others - it already has! Thank you. The truth "leapt off the page" for me too when I read your post and that is why I linked to it and asked you to put it on the Community blog also.

I agree with your second paragraph too. It's so hard sometimes wading through all the lies.
