Just had to share this!

My older sister just returned to the Catholic Church. She went to confession and has been attending Mass twice a week. It's been thirty years since she made her last confession.  Heaven must have rejoiced! Truth drew her back to church. My sister can't abide lies. She has a very practical nature like St. Teresa of Avila. She looked around the world and was horrified by the dishonesty in it. My sister likes to get things done and nothing will stop her once she makes a decision :)

Watch out world!

  1. Mary,
How wonderful! Prayers for and welcome home to your sister. I can't help but think of Bartimaeus -The Truth will always be revealed to those open to see.

  2. God is Good! Wow! This is TERRIFIC news! Truth be told, I am praying that my siblings and niece come into the fold of Rome. It's not enough that they are Christian . . . because they stopped going to the Lutheran church (the pastor declared he would marry his homosexual son and partner in the church whether the congregation liked it or not . . . that's when my mum left and then . . . ). So, for a few years now my sister and niece haven't gone anywhere. My brother is out of the loop as well. But, they believe and they are hungry (and their hunger is so obvious)!!! Pray for them, please, that they see the Truth. Mean time, I'm very happy for your sister (and the Family). WE need more Truthful folks in the Church.

  13. Hi everyone,

This is Mary's older sister. Thank you all for your positive comments! I just wanted to let you all know how good I feel about giving my confession after all those years. A lot of time had passed from my teenage years (I'm now 48) when I last went to confession, around my Confirmation time. I had some stuff that I had to get off my chest and I am sure I did things that I no longer recall. I actually could see the priest rub his hands together (in glee!)
behind the partition. I now have a clean slate to work with and have started going to mass and communion twice a week. I always feel especially wonderful afterward :)

  16. Simply wonderful, it reminds me of Father Corapis testimony, and also his own Father, who the day after Fathers ordination, came to him and said "Forgive me father (to his son), it is fifty years since my last confession!"

I love the feeling after confession ( not too keen on the butterflies before it tho, haha!).

  18. Shadowlands,
Father Corapi's funny! I've seen Him on EWTN before and he has a great conversion story. Confession gives me butterflies, too:)

  21. This is great news! A good priest told me that the reason I am suffering so much is for the return to the Church by my brother, sister, and nieces and nephews. It certainly gave me an additional perspective on my life.
