I've always been struck by the similarities in St Margaret Mary's revelations of the Sacred Heart and the revelations to St Faustina of the Divine Mercy of this same Heart. I've always felt that the words of Jesus to St. Faustina were a "completion" of the messages He gave to St. Margaret Mary. The words are very similar in nature and I believe were meant for our times. Mark Mallett has written a post called
The Last Effort concerning these two great saints and the cohesiveness of the messages for the world given to them by Jesus himself.
How very interesting!
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to Mark's post. Those revelations given so long ago mean so much for us now, but people need to hear it and be open to it.It is why I often pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. I thank Our Lord for giving us this prayer as well as for his saints Margaret Mary and Faustina who had the love and courage to spread the two devotions so very much connected.
Anne,
ReplyDeleteI thought so! He mentions St. Gertrude in the article, too, who also had a devotion to the heart of Jesus :)
Karin,
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I love praying the Divine Mercy too:)
