Opening the Floodgates

I love Divine Mercy Sunday!!! May the Lord open the floodgates and drench each and every one of us with His INFINITE MERCY!

I love this devotion. After my experience in the presence of  Jesus' mercy, I was still unaware of St. Faustina at the time so I didn't know about her diary, the novena or the chaplet. The minute I saw the book in a Catholic bookstore I was dumbfounded. The picture on the front of the book reminded me of what had happened to me and I bought it immediately. I've been praying the Mercy Chaplet and doing the Novena ever since. It's one of my favorite devotions. AND IT'S POWERFUL!

I hope everyone had a happy Divine Mercy Sunday. I'm off to pray the chaplet, now :)

  1. I've read St Faustina's Diary once from beginning to end, but it is a book I find myself going back to time and again. The Chaplet is one of my favorite prayers. I agree-very powerful.

  2. I love The Divine Mercy Feast too. Have you got your conversion story on here? I would love to read it sometime. Conversion stories are my favourite.

  3. Therese,
There are bits and pieces of my conversion story all over my blog but if you go into my archives and go to June 2009 it's the first two posts - at least this was one of the AHA! moments which turned my life around :) God bless you all!

  4. Mary, It was my Grandmother who taught me about Sister Fautina and the mercy chaplet. She was praying the prayers of the chaplet long before it became well known and popular. She was a very holy women who was always full of joy in the Lord. She died a happy and holy death.I'm sure Sr.Fautina was waiting for her.

  5. Ed,
I wish I had known about St. Faustina earlier. It's great that you learned it from your grandmother! I'm sure St Faustina was waiting for her, too :) I know that it was most likely through St Faustina's intercession that I received the graces that I did even though I did not know about her at the time. I sure do now though!
