I started a new Blog Ring called Blogging for Jesus. A blog ring is a community of bloggers with similar goals. In this case: spreading the love of Christ throughout the world. Joining a blog ring increases traffic to your blog and makes it easier for others to find and access your site. To join, simply click on the link and fill out the form provided. Everyone who loves Jesus is welcome. The only requirement for Catholics is they must follow the Magisterium of the Church. My Protestant brothers and sisters are also welcome to join!
The form is easy to fill out. The only part that is a bit time consuming is writing a description of your site as this must contain at least 1000 characters. (At least it's not a thousand words!) I hope my fellow bloggers will join! The internet is a powerful tool for spreading the Gospel! If you have any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.
Mary, my blog is not always specifically religious, with some stories just being about family life (but Catholic family life). Would my blog be suitable for the blogging ring?
ReplyDeleteSmart idea Mary. Thank you for sharing this with your readers. Blessings
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary. I'm in! You never know how God will use what we write for the building of His Kingdom here.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Mary! Good idea for blog ring! I tried to sign up for this but it kept saying incorrect PW...I'll try later. Many blessings on your new endeavor.
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteYes, your blog is very suitable! My blog is not always specifically religious either but I love Jesus and that's the requirement :) When you sign up make sure you copy and paste the code on the form onto your site or it won't work. God bless!
Thanks JBR! You love Jesus so feel free to join in!
ReplyDeleteKarin,
ReplyDeleteYou're quick! This morning I saw that you signed up and hit the accept button. You are showing up as a member but it can take up to a week before the link to your blog works (according to RingSurf). Mine didn't take a week so it might show up sooner. Your site should show up right at the bottom of the page once the link works (sometimes you have to scroll down a bit because of the advertising). Thanks for joining in!
Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI don't know why the password wouldn't work. It's possible that the when you typed it in the second time it was incorrect or maybe someone is already using that password - I'm not sure. I hope it works next time :)
The more blogrolls or blogrings a person signs up for, the larger the presence on the internet and the easier time search engines have finding them. No one wants to be on page 30 (or worse) when people Google something because people rarely look that far (lol). Plus it helps fellow bloggers find others with similar interests more easily.
Thanks for this one Mary! I agree with Karinann, you never know when God can use what you write to build his kingdom!
ReplyDeleteDone it ... I think !!!
ReplyDeleteI'll wait a few days to see if I did it correctly.
Thanx Mary for this.
God bless.
DG,
ReplyDeleteI agree too! There are far too many sites out there that draw people away from God and I pray for there to be "a greater presence of Christ" on the internet. You'd be apalled at how many occult sites there are. It must grieve the Holy Spirit. I am thankful for every single person who writes about God and living as a Christian these days!
DG,
ReplyDeleteYou're in! The link works from my blog ring page but it may take a few days to work on the main page (I think they just do this once a week). Thanks for joining!
Victor,
ReplyDeleteYes, it worked! Thanks for joining in! June is the month devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and I hope others join in because I thought we could offer it as a special gift to Him in honor of His Sacred Heart. Jesus likes gifts no matter how small :)
Hi Mary. I filled in all the info for the blogging ring. I hope I did it all correctly. That 1000 characters was so difficult! God bless.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Sent you a request
ReplyDeleteColleen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in! I added you on this morning!
Sue,
ReplyDeleteYou did it right and you're all set! I had a tough time with the 1000 character thing too! I don't know why that's a requirement :)
Pip,
ReplyDeleteYes, I okayed your site already and it's on the member page! Thanks for joining in :)
Hi Mary, This is a great idea. I've signed up. This is a great tool for spreading the love of God.
ReplyDeleteSt. Paul said in Col. 3:17: "All whatsoever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." That fits the purpose of "Blogging for Jesus" perfectly!
Hi Mary, I just invited my readers to join your new blog ring and linked from my post http://www.sufferingwithjoy.com/2011/05/10/new-blog-ring/ to this one. I hope you get many participants in this effort.
ReplyDeleteHi mary, I found your blog link from Barb Schoeneberger who I just discovered tonight as well. The Holy Spirit has led me to you both! To join your blogging ring I would need to enter my information on ringsurf? Is that correct?
ReplyDeleteHi Noreen,
ReplyDeleteI'll come visit your site too! I peeked at it already but will go back for a better look. I'm a huge Rosary fan too!
To join the blog ring click on "Blogging for Jesus" at the top of my sidebar. When the page comes up click on "add your site", then fill in the new member sign up and once you are signed up you must copy and paste the code that it gives you onto your sidebar. (Ringsurf checks before they'll let me add you on.) When giving the description for your site you don't need to be fancy - 1000 letters is kind of a lot but they just want people to get a general overall view of what your site is like. Once the code is added I'll add you on. I hope you join!
I'll add you to my blogroll too - Utterly Thine (in my sidebar). God bless!
