The moon over my family

Young men really need to get over wearing super large jeans with the oversized boxers, especially the thin guys. We got mooned twice today at church when someone's pants fell down, not once, but twice! The two teenage girls in front of us were giggling so hard they had to leave the church for a few minutes, even Randy was chuckling :) Good thing Michaela wasn't paying attention (as usual) because Michaela whispers really loud. I quickly peeked over to see if she had noticed but she was facing the back of the church. This time I thanked God for her short attention span because if Michaela had seen it the whole church would have known about it. If you're wondering if I laughed....you bet I did. Funny things are even funnier during solemn occasions. I've always had trouble smothering laughter though I have the coughing cover-up down pat from years of practice (I learned that one when the nuns used to take us to Mass when I was a kid.)

  1. I really dislike the whole "baggy pants" look! I cannot imagine trying to keep a straight face after getting mooned in church...how funny!!

  2. I can't stand that "fashion style" either. It's so dumb. What's the purpose of low riding pants? I personally don't think it looks cool, it just looks dumb.

And how annoying to constantly have to worry if your pants are going to fall down!

  3. Mary and Allison,
And it was a full moon! It wasn't just plumbers crack! I couldn't keep a straight face though I did better than the two teenage girls. They just need a bit more practice because funny things happen in Church quite often :)

  4. Have you heard the song, "pants on the ground" it was made for the boys who wear pants like this which I don't find very attractive, hopefully it is just a phase....:-) Hugs

  5. Bernie,
No I haven't heard that one :) What came to my mind was, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie...", have you heard that song? I'm glad my older nephews never picked up this style.

  7. VKT,
From one fellow giggler to another: While your shoulders are shaking and the tears are rolling down your eyes you cough uncontrollably [or however you spell it] so that people will think you are having an asthma attack. If it's really bad you pretend that you have to go to the back of the church for some water. At times, a kind soul will offer you a coughdrop which you accept with great gratitude ;)

  8. You know, my first thought was how nice that teenage boys are at Mass! But, I also think that is the worst fashion ever, and in God's house, wouldn't it be nice if they could show their respect by wearing a belt?

  9. Anne,
He had a belt on! Randy thought in his head , "Dude, if your going to wear a belt at least tighten it." I can't repeat the full nickname Randy gave him but the first name was Harry [lol]. He wasn't a teenager, I'd say early to mid twenties.
